Hs302 solar scale

Manufactured by Tanita

The HS302 solar scale by Tanita is a compact and lightweight weighing device designed for laboratory use. It features a solar-powered operation and a digital display to provide accurate weight measurements. The scale's core function is to precisely measure the weight of various items within a specified range.

Anthropometric and Blood Pressure Measurement

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Respondents were measured and weighted as described in the WHO STEPS manual Part 3 [35 ]. Blood pressure was measured 3 times with the Omron HEM-780 blood pressure monitor. Height was measured with the Seca 213 stand-alone stadiometer, waist with the Seca 201 measuring tape, and weight with the Tanita HS302 solar scale.

Anthropometric Measurement Procedures

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Weight was measured to the closest 100 g using a Tanita HS302 Solar Scale with participants in minimal clothing, stood in the centre of the scale with arms at sides and face forward. Standing heights of participants were measured to the nearest mm against a Shorr board. Both height and weight are the average of two measurements unless they differed by more than 4 mm or 400 g, respectively, in which case a third was taken and the average of the two closest was used. Stunting was defined as a height for age z-score <−2 according to WHO 2006 standards. Weight at 1 month was standardised to create a mean of 0 and SD of 1.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
