Fitc labeled annexin 5 apoptosis detection kit

Manufactured by BD
Sourced in Canada, United States

The (FITC)-labeled Annexin V Apoptosis Detection kit is a laboratory product that detects apoptosis, a type of programmed cell death, in cell samples. The kit utilizes Annexin V, a protein that binds to phosphatidylserine, a molecule present on the surface of apoptotic cells. The Annexin V is conjugated with the fluorescent dye FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate), allowing for the visualization and quantification of apoptotic cells through fluorescence-based techniques.

Quantifying Apoptosis with FITC-Annexin V

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled Annexin V Apoptosis Detection kit (BD Biosciences, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA) was used to quantify apoptotic cells. ACHN and A498 cells were collected after treatment with various concentrations of MET and JS-K for 24 h, then washed with PBS, and resuspended in binding buffer. Subsequently, cells were stained with FITC-labeled annexin V and propidium iodide for 15 min at room temperature in dark. The flow cytometry BD FACSDiva 6.1 software was used to analyze the stained cells within 1 h. The excitation wavelength of the fluorophore was 488nm, the emission wavelength of the fluorophore was PI: 564-606nm, FITC: 515-545nm.

Berberine Induces Apoptosis in Renal Cancer

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The apoptotic rate of ACHN and A498 treated with various concentrations(0, 20, 50, 100 µM) of berberine for 24 h were detected using the uorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled Annexin V Apoptosis Detection kit (BD Biosciences, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA). Brie y, cells were digested with Trypsin Solution without EDTA (Beyotime), then, washed and centrifugated according to the manufacturer's instructions. FITC-labeled annexin V and propidium iodide were used to stain cells for 15 min. The apoptotic death was determined by annexin V/ PI staining. Then the apoptotic rate of cells was measured by Flow Cytometer (BD FACSCelesta, Becton Dickinson USA) using ow cytometry BD FACSDiva 6.1 software.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
