Cell Cycle Analysis by Propidium Iodide Staining

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For cell cycle analysis through propidium iodide (PI) staining, 1×105 cells were seeded in 6-well plate and treated with 50 or 100 µM decursin or siRNA for 48 h. Afterwards, the cells were fixed in 70% ice-cold ethanol overnight at −20°C and incubated with FxCycle™ PI/RNase Staining Solution (cat. no. F10797; Invitrogen; Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.) for 30 min at room temperature. Fluorescence was analyzed using flow cytometry (Beckman Coulter) and the Kaluza analysis program (version 1.2; Beckman Coulter).

Cell Cycle Analysis by Flow Cytometry

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For cell cycle analysis, 1 × 105 cells were seeded in a 6-well plate. After two washes with ice-cold PBS, cells were fixed in 70% ice-cold ethanol overnight at 4 °C. Cells were washed again with ice-cold PBS and incubated with FxCycle™ PI/RNase Staining Solution (Invitrogen) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Fluorescence was analyzed using a flow cytometer (Beckman Coulter, Brea, CA, USA) and the Kaluza analysis program (version 1.2; Beckman Coulter).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
