Trans triprolidine

Olanzapine and haloperidol were obtained from FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation (Osaka, Japan). Dopamine hydrochloride and bromocriptine were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St Louis, MO, USA). 7-Hydroxy PIPAT, ABT724, TCB2, BW723C86, Ro60–0175, WAY181187, 2-PEA, NGB2904, sonepiprazole, MDL11939, SB204741, SB399885, trans-triprolidine, amthamine, and tiotidine were from Tocris Bioscience (Bristol, England, UK). SB242084 was obtained from Toronto Research Chemicals (Ontario, Canada). All other chemicals used were of the highest purity available.

Clobenpropit, trans-triprolidine, cimetidine, and histamine were purchased from Tocris Bioscience. For behavioral experiments, Clobenpropit was dissolved in saline and administered subcutaneously 45 minutes before the experiment at 5mg/kg unless otherwise stated. For hippocampal delivery, the drugs were dissolved in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (ACSF) and injected via bilateral guide cannulae using a microsyringe pump (1 μl/hemisphere) 15 minutes before the experiment at the following final concentrations: Clobenpropit, 10mM; trans-triprolidine, 0.5mM; and cimetidine, 1mM. Drug doses and concentrations were chosen based on previous studies (Pérez-García et al., 1999 (link); Xu et al., 2009 (link)). For slice electrophysiology, the drugs were dissolved in ACSF at the following final concentrations: Clobenpropit, 10 μM; trans-triprolidine, 2 μM; cimetidine, 50 μM; and histamine, 10 μM. Final concentrations were chosen based on pilot experiments and previous studies (Zhou et al., 2006 (link); Chepkova et al., 2012 (link)).

DMEM medium, antibiotics, phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), bovine serum albumin (BSA), histamine dihydrochloride, wortmannin, SP600125, U73122, dexamethasone, cetirizine, chlorpheniramine and diphenhydramine were obtained from Sigma. LY294002, mepyramine maleate, trans-triprolidine and GF109203X were from Tocris Cookson Inc. (Ballwin, MO). Fetal bovine serum (FBS) was purchased from Natocor. All other chemicals were of analytical grade and obtained from standard sources.
