Aerobic Fitness Correlates with Body Composition

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Descriptive statistics were run on all the variables. The relationships between body-fat, BMI, and waist-hip ratio (WHR)and aerobic fitness (VO2 max) were examined by Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient, and P < 0.05 considered as statistically significant. Data were analyzed using the SPSS-PC software (version 20, IBM SPSS inc., USA).

Evaluating Pre-Post Intervention Outcomes

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Descriptive statistics was run on all the variables. We used paired t-test to determine differences between results of pre and posttests in measured variables, with P < 0.05 considered as statistically significant. Data were analyzed using the SPSS-PC software (version 20.0, IBM SPSS inc. USA).

Paired t-test Analysis of Pre-Post Measures

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Descriptive statistics were run on all the variables. We used paired t-test to determine statistical differences between means of pre and posttests in measured variables, with P < 0.05 considered as statistically significant. Data were analyzed using the SPSS-PC software (Version 20.0, IBM SPSS inc., USA).

Body Mass Index Percentile Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Descriptive statistics was conducted on all the measured variables, and percentile ranks for BMI of subjects were computed based on sex categories. Data were analyzed by the SPSS-PC software (version 20.0) IBM SPSS inc. USA.

Analyzing Service Utilization Patterns During Pandemic

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The data were extracted from the ODK to SPSS PC + software for data cleaning and analysis. The descriptive results are presented as absolute numbers, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and range where appropriate. Further analysis to determine a statistically significant difference between States in the number of clients utilizing each service before the pandemic, during and after the lockdown was conducted. The distribution for each service was not normal and the Levene test of homogeneity of variances was also violated for each service. Thus, the non-parametric alternative of one-way between-groups analysis of variance (Kruskal–Wallis test) was used to determine whether there was a significant difference by State. The alpha was set at 0.05.

Statistical Analysis of Experimental Data

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The statistical analyses were performed with the SPSS/PC software (Version 22.0 for Windows; SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL). Constant variables in the data set were expressed as mean ± standard deviation, and categorical variables were expressed as frequency and percentage. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to examine the normality of the distribution of the data. Two samples' Student's t-test was used to compare mean values of normally distributed quantitative variables as the two samples were obtained independently. Mann–Whitney U test was used if the variables were not normally distributed. Qualitative variables were analyzed with chi-squared test and Fisher's exact test. p < 0.05 was considered significant in all analyses.

Biochemical Variations Analysis

Each value is the mean±the standard error (n = 6). All biochemical parameters' variations were assessed statistically using one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA) and post hoc multiple comparisons with the Duncan test in the SPSS/PC software (version 22.0; SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

Statistical Analysis of Cytokines, Metabolites, and Psychosis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical analysis of the data compiled in Excel databank was conducted using SPSS/PC software (Version 19.0 for Windows; SPSS Inc., China). Categorical and continuous variables were expressed as number (%) or mean (M) ± SD, respectively. No outliers in values of cytokines by inspection of related boxplots. For comparisons of demographic information and clinical characteristics at baseline between groups, Fisher’s exact Chi-square test or student t test were conducted. Relationships between bacterial metabolites and cytokines or MOAS were determined by partial correlation analysis controlling for gender, age, BMI, episodes with ScZ, course with ScZ, and PANSS. All the tests were two-sided. A P < 0.05 was accepted as the cutoff for statistical significance, and a false discovery rate (FDR) was considered for the correction of the P value when determining differences in alpha diversity and compositions of fecal microbiota between groups.

GABA3 Gene Polymorphism and ADHD

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
We performed independent t tests for age, chi-square tests for sex, and chi-squre tests to compare the results of the control group and the ADHD group through the frequency of the genotypes and alleles. SPSS PC software (version 15.0; SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) was used for the statistical analysis and the significance level was set to the p value being less than 0.05. Our study was conducted with 339 subjects and the power was 97.41%. This indicates that the association of the GABA3 gene polymorphism and ADHD can be sufficiently accounted for by the results in this study. However, we performed the power program analysis for the chi-square test with 339 subjects and the result showed that the effect size was 0.43 (moderate level).

Comparing Group Means Using Statistical Tests

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Independent-samples t-test was used for the comparison of the means between the groups. The association among the qualitative variables was determined using Chi-square test. The level of significance was set at 0.05. The analyses were performed using SPSS/PC software (Version 22; SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
