Infinium methylationepic 850k platform

Manufactured by Illumina

The Infinium MethylationEPIC (850K) platform is a laboratory equipment product developed by Illumina. It is a high-throughput microarray-based technology designed for DNA methylation profiling. The core function of the Infinium MethylationEPIC (850K) platform is to enable comprehensive genome-wide analysis of DNA methylation patterns across more than 850,000 CpG sites.

DNA Methylation Profiling of ATRT and MRT

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
DNA methylation array data from 150 primary ATRT samples were previously published (Johann et al., 2016 (link)). DNA methylation array data from 9 MRT samples from RBTC were generated using Illumina’s Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChip (450K) platform. Using Illumina’s Infinium MethylationEPIC (850K) platform, we generated DNA methylation data for 40 primary MRT samples that previously had been analyzed using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (Chun et al., 2016 (link)), and also for an additional 11 ATRT and 91 MRT cases. All samples were checked for expected and unexpected genotype matches by pairwise correlation of the 65 genotyping probes on the Illumina Methylation 450K array. Raw 450K/850K data files were generated and processed as previously described (Capper et al., 2018 (link)).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
