Cd56 fluorescein isothiocyanate fitc

Manufactured by BD
Sourced in United States

CD56-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is a fluorescently-labeled antibody that binds to the CD56 antigen. CD56 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed on natural killer cells, a subset of T cells, and some tumor cells. The FITC fluorescent label allows for the detection and identification of cells expressing CD56 using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.

NK Cell Surface and Cytokine Analysis

Cells were stained for NK cell surface markers with CD56-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and CD107a-phycoerythrin (PE) antibodies (BD Biosciences) for 30 min at 4°C in 50 μl of staining buffer (PBS + FBS 0.25%). The cells were washed twice with staining buffer. Following surface staining, the cells were resuspended thoroughly; then, 250 μl of fixation/permeabilization solution was added, and the mixture was incubated for 20 min at 4°C. The cells were washed again two times in 1 ml of BD wash buffer. Next, allophycocyanin- (APC-) conjugated anti-TNF-α and anti-IFN-γ antibodies were used to stain the intracellular cytokines of PBMCs for 30 min at 4°C. Corresponding isotype controls were utilized as negative controls. After intracellular staining, the cells were washed twice with 1 ml of BD Perm/Wash buffer and resuspended in staining buffer prior to flow cytometric analysis.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
