Anti snail antibody

Manufactured by Merck Group
Sourced in United States

The Anti-Snail antibody is a laboratory reagent used in research applications. It is a specific antibody that binds to the Snail protein, which is a transcription factor involved in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition process. The antibody can be used in various techniques, such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, to detect and analyze the expression of the Snail protein in biological samples.

Immunofluorescence analysis was carried out based on previously described [33 (link)]. A total of 1× 104 cells were plated on coverslips in 48-well plates and infected with shNC or shSPAG5. The cells were then incubated at 37°C for 24 hours and collected, and fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 30 min. Then, the cells were incubated with anti-E-cadherin antibody (cat no. ab11512, Abcam) at 4°C overnight. For Snail staining, the cells were penetrated with Trion-X 100 (Sigma-Aldrich, USA) and then incubated with anti-Snail antibody (cat no. ab167609). After that, the cells were probed with DAPI solution for 5 min. The cells were photographed using an immunofluorescence microscope (Olympus, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
