Improved Stroke Care with DT Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
In the second part of the study, we report our initial experience with the DT protocol. In January 2020, we implemented a new algorithm for care of stroke patients treated in our comprehensive stroke centre. Patients who presented within 4.5 h of symptom onset and had severe neurological deficits [National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score ≥10] consistent with anterior circulation symptomatology were transferred directly to an angio-suite equipped with FD-CT (Philips Azurion 7 C20, Koninklijke Philips, Amsterdam, Netherlands). Flat-detector computed tomography scans were obtained, and if there were no signs of intracranial haemorrhage or large established ischaemia, invasive selective angiography of the supposedly occluded vessel was performed. If the angiography confirmed LVO, mechanical thrombectomy was performed.

Angiographic Imaging of Cadavers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The cadavers were moved to the angiography suite and sterilely draped. Under continuous perfusion, a working sheath was inserted using the Seldinger technique and afterwards transfemoral antegrade fluoroscopic series were acquired in posterior-anterior orientation after manual injection of diluted contrast medium (50:50 mixture of Imeron® 350 mg/ml iodine and 0.9% sodium chloride solution). DSA was performed using a commercially available flat detector unit (Azurion 7 C20, Philips Healthcare, Best, The Netherlands) with vendor-recommended settings for low-dose examinations and a frame rate of 1–2 images/second.

Fluoroscopic Angiography of Leg Arteries

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
DSA examinations and interventions were performed using a commercially available flat detector unit (Azurion 7 C20, Philips Healthcare, Best, The Netherlands) with vendor-recommended settings for low-dose examinations of the upper leg arteries. We acquired transfemoral antegrade fluoroscopic series in posterior-anterior and 20° left/right anterior-oblique orientations with a frame rate of 1–2 images/second using the stepping-table technique after manual injection of diluted contrast medium.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
