Samples were diluted to 0.5 mg/ml on a protein basis in deionized water. A saturated solution of α‐cyano‐4‐hydroxycinnamic acid (CHCA) matrix was prepared in 50% v/v acetonitrile with 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). One microliter of the mixture of the matrix and protein solution was deposited on a matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) plate and run on a Microflex matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight (MALDI‐TOF) mass spectrometry system (Bruker). The data was analyzed using Flex Analysis software (Bruker).
