Transam nrf2 assay kit

Manufactured by Active Motif

The TransAM NRF2 assay Kit is a DNA-binding ELISA-based assay that measures the activation and DNA-binding activity of the transcription factor Nrf2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2) in nuclear extracts. The kit provides a simple and high-throughput method for quantifying active Nrf2 levels in a variety of cell and tissue samples.

Measuring Nrf2 DNA Binding via TransAM Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The DNA binding of Nrf2 was measured using a specific TransAM® Nrf2 assay kit (Active Motif), according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Briefly, the nuclear extracts were incubated in the oligonucleotide-coated wells. Subsequently, the wells were washed twice with PBS and incubated with antibody against Nrf2 at 37°C. The addition of secondary antibody conjugated to HRP provided a colorimetric readout. The absorbance of each well was measured using a microplate reader at 450 nm (Molecular Devices).

Nrf2 Activity Assay Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Nrf2 activity was measured by using a TransAM Nrf2 assay kit (Active Motif, Carlsbad, CA) as previously described 28 (link). The cell nuclear extracts (5 μg) were added to a 96-well plate that had been precoated with an oligonucleotide with a binding site for Nrf2. The absorbance was detected at 450 nm by a microplate reader.

Nrf2 Activity Quantification Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Nrf2 activity was detected using a TransAM NRF2 assay Kit (Active Motif, Carlsbad, CA) according to the protocol. First, 5 μg aliquots of the nuclear extracts of the HUVECs were incubated in a 96-well plate that had been precoated with an oligonucleotide containing a binding site for Nrf2. The absorbance was detected at 450 nm using a microplate reader (Thermo Scientific, CA, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
