Quantifying Soluble IL-6Rα in COPD and IPF Lungs

Soluble IL-6Rα was quantified in protein lysates made from COPD & IPF lungs using the Human IL-6R Alpha Duoset ELISA kit (R&D Systems). 10μl of lysate was diluted in 90μl reagent diluent and subjected to ELISA analysis per manufacturer protocol. Murine BAL fluid and plasma samples were processed using the Mouse IL-6R Alpha Duoset ELISA kit (R&D Systems). For BAL fluid samples, 100μl was used. For plasma samples, 10μl of plasma was diluted in 90μl reagent diluent.
