Apodetect annexin 5 fitc apoptosis detection kit

Manufactured by Merck Group

The ApoDETECT annexin V-FITC apoptosis detection kit is a laboratory product used to detect and analyze programmed cell death, or apoptosis, in cell cultures. The kit utilizes annexin V, a protein that binds to phosphatidylserine, a molecule exposed on the surface of apoptotic cells. The annexin V is conjugated with the fluorescent dye FITC, allowing for the visualization and quantification of apoptotic cells through flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.

Apoptotic cells were assessed using an ApoDETECT annexin V-FITC apoptosis detection kit (Sigma-Aldrich) by flow cytometry following the kit manual. Cells treated with different concentrations of oridonin were digested, washed twice with cold PBS, and resuspended in binding buffer. Add 5 μl of FITC-labeled annexin V in 190 μl of cell suspension, mix gently, then add 5 μl propidium iodide (PI) solution. Incubate cells in dark for 10 min at room temperature. Cells were analyzed on a flow cytometer (BD Biosciences).

Annexin V-FITC Apoptosis Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptosis was assessed using an ApoDETECT annexin V-FITC apoptosis detection kit (Sigma-Aldrich) by flow cytometry following the manual. Cells were digested, washed twice with cold PBS, and re-suspended in binding buffer. FITC-labeled annexin V (5 μL) was added to the cell suspension (190μL) and mixed, followed by the addition of propidium iodide (PI) solution (5 μL). Cells were incubated in the dark at room temperature for 10 min and were then analyzed on a flow cytometer (BD Biosciences, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
