Iron 3 ethoxide

Tetramethyl orthosilicate (TMOS) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO); iron (III) ethoxide was obtained from Gelest Inc. (Moorisville, PA), 500 nm aminated polystyrene templates were purchased Polysciences (Warrington, PA); perfluoropentane was procured from Strem Chemicals (Newburyport, MA). All ultrasound imaging was performed using a Siemens Sequoia 512 (Mountainview, CA) with an Acuson 15L8 imaging transducer. HIFU was performed using a Sonic Concepts Inc. (Bothell, WA) H-102 single element transducer, driven by ac AG 1006 Amplifier/Generator (Rochester, NY). FGEN Soft Front Panel v2.6 software by National Instruments (Austin, TX) was used to generate the waveform and control the HIFU. Tissue sectioning and hematoxylin and eosin staining was performed by the UCSD Histology core.

TMOS, trimethyloxyphenylsilane (TMPS), and N1-(3-trimethoxysilylpropyl) diethylenetriamine (DETA) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO) and the polystyrene beads were purchased from PolySciences Inc. (Warrington, PA). Iron (III) ethoxide was purchased from Gelest Inc. (Moorisville, PA). Heat inactivated human serum was purchased from Gemini Bio-Products Inc (West Sacamento, CA). Ultrasound images were acquired with use of a Seimens Sequoia 512 (Mountainview, CA), and an Acuson 15L8 imaging transducer. The H-102 single element transducer used in HIFU experiments was acquired from Sonic Concepts Inc (Bothell, WA). Software programs used for data analysis include Matlab (Natick, MA), ImageJ, Microsoft Excel (Redomond, WA), GraphPad Prism (La Jolla, CA), and OsiriX (Bernex, Switzerland).
