The UAS-Sec8 is a genetic tool used in Drosophila (fruit fly) research. It allows for the targeted expression of the Sec8 gene, which is involved in the regulation of vesicle trafficking and exocytosis. The UAS-Sec8 construct can be used in combination with the GAL4 system to spatially and temporally control the expression of Sec8 in Drosophila. This tool can be utilized by researchers studying various cellular and developmental processes in the fruit fly model organism.

All fly stocks were maintained in our laboratory on a standard cornmeal medium at 25 °C. The Actin-GAL4 driver (stock number 4414) and UAS-Sec8 (stock number 9556) were from Bloomington Stock Center (Bloomington, IN, USA). UAS-LRRK2 WT and UAS-LRRK2-R1441C were a generous gift from Prof. Cheng-Ting Chien (National Taiwan University Hospital Yun-Lin Branch, Taipei, Taiwan) [51 (link)].

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
