All experimental procedures were approved by the Mayo Clinic Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and performed in accordance with NIH guidelines. Adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR: Adora2A, MMRRC:031168-UCD)-Cre mice were provided by Dr. Jiang-Fan Chen at Wenzhou Medical University. Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family, member L1 (ALDH1L1)-Cre (Stock #023748), Dopamine D2 receptor (D2R: DRD2)-eGFP (stock #030255), Dopamine D1 receptor (D1R: DRD1)-tdTomato (stock #016204) and C57BL/6J mice were purchased from Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME). The ENT1 KO mice were generated as described (27 (link)). Mice were housed in standard Plexiglas cages and the colony room was maintained at a constant temperature (24 ± 1°C) and humidity (60 ± 2%) with a 12 h light/dark cycle (lights on at 07:00 A.M.). We used 8- to 10-wk-old male mice for all experiments.

Transgenic Mouse Models of Receptor Signaling

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Animal procedures were conducted in accordance with the NIH Guidelines for the Care and Use of Experimental Animals and were approved by the Institutional Animal Care Committee. The Nr4a1-eGFP hemizygous, Nr4a1-null (JAX Nr4a1tm1Jm #006187), Drd1-eGFP [Tg(Drd1a-eGFP)X60Gsat], and Drd1 tdTomato (catalog #016204, The Jackson Laboratory) mice used for this study were obtained from GENSAT and The Jackson Laboratory, respectively. Controls always consisted of wild-type littermates. Mice were given ad libitum access to food and water and housed under a 12 h light/dark cycle. Only male mice were used in these studies.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
