Labtek 8 well chamber slides

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific

LabTek 8-well chamber slides are a laboratory equipment product designed for cell culture applications. They provide a platform for culturing and analyzing cells in a controlled environment. The slides feature eight individual compartments, allowing for multiple experimental conditions to be tested simultaneously. The design of the LabTek 8-well chamber slides facilitates efficient cell culture and observation.

T84 Colon Epithelial Cell Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
T84 human colon intestinal epithelial cells, used as a model to study the effects of enterotoxins on TJ proteins [29] (link), [30] (link), [39] (link)–[42] (link) were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection. Cells (passage 5 to 18) were maintained in equal volumes of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) and F-12 supplemented with 5% (vol/vol) fetal bovine serum (FBS) (Invitrogen). Cells were grown in T-75 culture flasks (Sarstedt) at 37°C, 5% CO2 in a humidified incubator. Cell viability of T84 cell line was measured using Trypan blue [43] . For maintenance purposes, confluent T84 monolayers were passaged weekly using trypsin-EDTA treatment in phosphate buffered saline (PBS: Invitrogen) free of calcium chloride and magnesium chloride.
For immunofluorescence experiments, T84 cells were seeded, on LabTek 8-well chamber slides (Fisher Scientific), at a density of 150,000 cells/ml and used after 2 days of growth. One hour before treatment with purified STb cell monolayers was washed using PBS and the medium was changed to medium without FBS.

Investigating N-Ras Membrane Localization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
COS-7 cells were co-transfected with EGFP-N-Ras and empty vector or indicated mCherry-tagged thioesterases at a 1:1 ratio (total 0.5 μg DNA per well) in Lab-Tek 8-well chamber slides (Fisher). Twenty-four hours post-transfection, cells were imaged on a TCS SP8 confocal laser scanning microscope (Leica Microsystems; Mannheim, Germany), and EGFP-N-Ras localization was quantified by counting 100 cells per experiment.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
