To increase protein expression, all experimental crosses were performed at 28°C. Control genotypes included promoter-Gal4/+ individuals. Fly food was prepared using NUTRI-fly-IF mixture (Genesee Scientific), according to the manufacturer instructions. For chronic vinblastine treatment, NUTRI-fly-IF was additioned with 50 nM vinblastine.
