Synthesis of Ni-Al Catalysts and Organic Compounds

Na2CO3, all supplied by Sinopharm Chemical Reagent
Co., Ltd. were used for the preparation of the NiyAlOx formulations. A Ni–Al
alloy (50:50 w/w) supplied by J&K Chemical Co., Ltd. was used
for preparing RaneyNi. FF, 4-anisaldehyde, 4-chlorobenzaldehyde, vanillin,
butyraldehyde, 1-butylamine, 2-butylamine, cyclohexanone, cyclohexylamine,
butanone, ethanolamine, aniline, benzylamine, and morpholine were
also supplied by Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. HMF, FMA, THFMA,
FAA, and THFAA were procured from Shanghai Shaoyuan Co., Ltd. Glycolaldehyde
was purchased from Ark Pharm, Inc. Dioxane, ethanol and aqueous ammonia
solution (28 wt %) were purchased from Damao Chemical Reagent Factory.
Hydrogen was obtained commercially from Lanzhou Yulong Gas Co., LTD.
All the chemicals were used as received without further purification.

Palladium-based Catalytic Synthesis

Palladium dichloride (PdCl2), palladium oxide (PdO), and 10.0 wt% Pd(OH)2/ACs were purchased from Alfa Aesar. Diisopropylamine, butyraldehyde, activated carbon, melamine, cyanuric acid, methanol, and molecular sieve were obtained from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. Water was purified by ion exchange and used as deionized water. Other chemicals were of analytical purity and were used as received.

Milk-based Luminescent Nanomaterials Synthesis

Pure milk was purchased from Liaocheng University campus supermarket. The metal salts were obtained from Aladdin Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). They included Tb(CH 3 COO) 3 , Nd(CH 3 COO) 3 , Pr(CH 3 COO) 3 , Er(CH 3 COO) 3 , NaCl, and NaOH. Polyethyleneimine (PEI, MW=10000, 99%) was ordered from Shanghai Macklin Biochemical Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Acetaldehyde (AA), dimethylformamide (DMF), acetone, methanol, chloroform, acetonitrile, ether, ethyl acetate (EA), formaldehyde (FA), propionaldehyde (PA), and butyraldehyde (BA) were provided by Sinopharm Chemical Rea-gent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). All chemicals used in relevant experiments were analytical grade and without further puri cation. Deionized water supplied by the Milli-Q water Puri ed system was used in all experiments.
