Ctnt elisa kit

Manufactured by MyBioSource
Sourced in United States

The CTnT ELISA kit is a laboratory tool used to detect and quantify the presence of cardiac troponin T (cTnT) in biological samples. It functions by utilizing an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to measure the concentration of cTnT, which is a specific protein released into the bloodstream following cardiac muscle damage.

Histological and Molecular Cardiac Assessment

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For histological evaluation, vital organs were fixed in 10% formalin followed by paraffin embedding and sectioning performed in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at University of California, Davis. Tissue sections were stained by hematoxylin and eosin stain and examined under a light microscope. Plasma samples were isolated from experimental animals and tested with a creatine kinase MB isoenzyme (CK-MB) ELISA kit and a cardiac troponin T (cTnT) ELISA kit (Mybiosource, CA, USA). A Caspase-Glo® 3/7 assay kit (Promega, WI, USA) was used to measure the level of Caspase 3/7 in heart tissues per manufacturer’s instruction. The plasma and heart tissues from the mice injected with PBS alone were used as a control.

Serum Sampling for Cardiac Biomarkers in Rat MI

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To obtain serum samples from rats, blood was drawn from the right atrium at 4 h after ligation of the LAD coronary artery with a 22-gauge needle. One millilitre of collected blood was transferred into a Z Serum Sep Clot Activator (Greiner Bioone, Kremsmunster, Austria), followed by centrifugation for 15 min at 3,000 rpm. The cTnT concentrations were determined using an cTnT ELISA kit (MBS2024997, MyBioSource, San Diego, CA, USA) and and HMGB1 concentrations were determined using the Rat HMGB1 ELISA kit (Solarbio, Beijing, China).

Rat Serum Biomarker Quantification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To obtain rat serum, we punctured the right atrium and obtained blood 4 h after LAD ligation with a 22-gauge needle. We transferred 1 mL of the collected blood into a Z Serum Sep Clot Activator (Greiner Bioone, Kremsmunster, Austria), followed by centrifugation at 3000 rpm for 15 min. We determined the concentrations of cTnT and HMGB1 using a cTnT ELISA kit (MBS2024997, MyBioSource, San Diego, CA, USA) and a HMGB1 ELISA kit (Solarbio, Beijing, China) for rats.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
