Rabbit anti apol1 antibody

Manufactured by Merck Group
Sourced in United States

The Rabbit anti-APOL1 antibody is a research-use only product designed to detect the APOL1 protein. APOL1 is a component of high-density lipoproteins and plays a role in innate immunity. This antibody can be used in various research applications, such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, to study the expression and localization of APOL1 in biological samples.

Western blots were incubated for 2 h with a 1:1,000 dilution of anti-TbEndoG antibody, 1:2,000 dilution of rabbit anti-APOL1 antibody (Sigma) or 1:100 dilution of mouse monoclonal anti-TbKIFC1 antibody (H3) (ref. 16 (link)) in 150 mM NaCl, 0.5% (w/v) Tween 20, 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5) with 1% non-fat milk. The secondary antibodies, peroxidase-conjugated monoclonal mouse anti-rat IgGs or goat anti-rabbit IgGs (1:5,000; Serotec), were diluted in the same buffer and the bound antibodies were detected by chemiluminescence (Amersham).

ApoL1 Protein Detection in Biological Samples

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
One μL of serum, 15 μg of whole cell lysate, 16 μL of concentrated culture media of HepG2 or 10 μL of lipoprotein solution were heated to 70 °C for 15 minutes in SDS gel-loading buffer, and applied to SDS gel electrophoresis, thereafter proteins were transferred to nitrocellulose filters (GE Healthcare, Little Chalfont, UK). The blots were incubated with rabbit anti-ApoL1 antibody (SIGMA, MO, USA) or rabbit anti-human GAPDH antibody (Abcam, Cambridge, UK), followed by incubation with horseradish peroxidase-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (IBL, Gunma, Japan). Signal intensity of ApoL1 was measured by Image J.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
