Dulbecco s modified eagles s medium

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in United States, France

Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) is a widely used cell culture medium formulated to support the growth and maintenance of various cell types. It provides essential nutrients, vitamins, and salts required for cellular metabolism and proliferation. DMEM is a commonly used basal medium in many cell culture applications.

Maintenance of H9c2 Rat Cardiomyoblast Cell Line

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Rat cardiomyoblast cell line, H9c2, was obtained from American Type Culture Collection (ATCC, Manassas, VA) and maintained in culture using Dulbecco's Modified Eagles's Medium (Invitrogen, Grand Island, NY) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and antibiotics (100 U/ml penicillin, 100 mg/ml streptomycin). Cells were grown at 37°C in a humidified 95% air/5% CO2 atmosphere.

Megakaryocyte Differentiation from Cord Blood

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cord blood was obtained from the Clinic of Gynecology of the Medical University of Vienna. All donors gave their written informed consent. CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells were isolated from cord blood with CD34 MACS magnetic beads (Miltenyi, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany). CD34+ cells were cultured with 50 ng mL−1 thrombopoietin, 1 ng mL−1 stem cell factor and interleukin‐3 (Miltenyi) in Stem Pro 34 medium (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA, USA) at 37 °C in 5% CO2 for 12 days to obtain mature culture differentiated megakaryocytes. Mature megakaryocytes were stained with CD41, CD14 and CD45 antibodies (eBioscience, San Diego, CA, USA), and their purity was analyzed by fluorescence‐activated cell sorting (FACS). Cultures containing > 3% contaminating leukocytes were used for our experiments. Cell lines CHRF, Meg‐01, HL‐60 and HepG2 were purchased from ATCC. They were grown in RPMI medium or Dulbecco's modified Eagles's medium (Invitrogen) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and gentamicin (Gibco, Carlsbad, CA, USA) at 37 °C in 5% CO2.

HNSCC Cell Line Cultivation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
CAL27 and CAL33 HNSCC cell lines13 (link) were kindly provided by Dr J.L. Fischel (Centre Antoine Lacassagne, Nice, France, where they were initially obtained). They were authenticated by Azur Génétique (Nice, France) as identical to the corresponding DSMZ cell lines (report reference AGLC-14-00225). They were cultured in Dulbecco’s modified Eagles’s medium (Invitrogen, Cergy-Pontoise, France) supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated foetal calf serum (Pan Biotech) and maintained at 37 °C in a humidified atmosphere containing 5% CO2 in Petri dishes or flasks of various sizes. They were replicated every 4–5 days, and the medium was changed once in-between.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
