Multiplex bead based immunoassay kit

Manufactured by Bio-Rad
Sourced in Japan, United States

The Multiplex bead-based immunoassay kit is a laboratory equipment product that enables the simultaneous detection and quantification of multiple analytes in a single sample. The kit utilizes color-coded beads coated with specific capture antibodies to allow for the simultaneous measurement of different target molecules.

Multiplex Cytokine Analysis in Mice

Twenty-three inflammatory mediators were analyzed in the serum of the experimental mice
with a multiplex bead-based immunoassay kit (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., Tokyo, Japan).
These mediators included eotaxin, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF),
granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interferon (IFN)-γ, IL-1α,
IL-1β, IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-9, IL-10, IL-12 (p40), IL-12 (p70), IL-13, IL-17A,
keratinocyte chemoattractant (KC), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1
(MCP-1)/monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF), macrophage
inflammatory protein (MIP)-1α, MIP-1β, regulated on activation, normal T cell expressed
and secreted (RANTES), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. Data from the measurements were
acquired and analyzed using the Bio-Plex suspension array system (Luminex 100 system;
Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.), and the concentrations of each cytokine were determined using
Bio-Plex Manager Version 4.1 software [21 (link)]. Data
are expressed in terms of picogram of cytokine per milliliter of serum
(pg/ml).

Multiplex Cytokine Quantification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Concentrations of the cytokines IL-2, IFNγ, TNF-α, IL-5, IL-13, IL-17A and IL-10 in day 5 culture supernatants were determined in pg/mL according to manufacturer’s instructions using a commercial multiplex bead-based immunoassay kit (Bio-Rad, United States) (SKI samples) or using the LEGENDplex Human Th cytokines kit (BioLegend) (Immfact samples), and expressed in [pg/ml]. Measurements and data analysis were performed with a Bio-Plex 200, using Bio-Plex Manager software or flow cytometry (FACS Canto II), respectively.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
