Ammonium thiocyanate, butylated hydroxyl anisole, thiobarbituric acid, butylated hydroxyl toluene, sulfanilamide, a-tocopherol, pyrocatechol, trichloroacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, 5,5 0 -dithiobis-(2nitrobenzoic acid), reduced glutathione (GSH), bovine serum albumin (BSA) from Loba Chemie (Mumbai, India). 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) from Himedia Chemicals (Mumbai, India). All other reagents employed in the study were of analytical grade. Phenytoin injection was obtained locally from Cadila Laboratories (Ahmedabad, India).
