Comparing Quality of Life Outcomes in MVD and PSR

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Scores for the SF-12 PCS and MCS were compared for MVD and PSR groups using Mann-Whitney U tests. For the HADS, MVD and PSR groups were compared for the numbers of patients with borderline levels or case levels of anxiety or depression using χ2 tests. Where demographic factors were significantly different between groups, their effect on the SF-12 and HADS within each group was determined using Mann-Whitney U tests and χ2 or Fisher’s exact tests respectively. The numbers of patients with postoperative complications, and their severity and impact on quality of life, were compared using χ2 tests. Patients with surgery prior to MVD were separated from the cohort and their results reported separately.
All data were managed using Microsoft Excel 2016 (Microsoft, Redmond, VA, USA). Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Macintosh, Version 24.0 (IBM, Armond, NY, USA). Mean values are reported with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI), and median values are reported with interquartile ranges (IQRs). For all statistics, p values less than or equal to 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Graphs were drawn using Prism for Macintosh, Version 7 (GraphPad Software, San Diego, CA, USA).

Comprehensive Statistical Analysis of Data

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Unless indicated otherwise, mean values ± SD are shown in all panels and pooled data from at least two separate experiments are shown. Statistical analysis was performed using Prism for Macintosh (version 6; Graph Pad). P values of <0.05 were considered significant and are indicated as follows: *, P<0.05; **, P<0.01; ***, P<0.001; ****, P<0.0001.

Statistical Analysis of Experimental Data

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Statistical analysis was performed using Prism for Macintosh (GraphPad Software, La Jolla, CA) using the two-tailed t-test. Data are expressed as means ± SEM as indicated. Results were considered statistically significant at a P value of < 0.05.

Mammary Gland Histological Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data are expressed as means ± standard error mean (SEM). Statistical analyses were conducted using Prism for Macintosh, version 5.0 (Graphpad Software, San Diego, CA, USA). Statistical differences were evaluated by Student's t-test with p < 0.05 comparing SL Dams versus NL Dams and MSG Dams versus CON Dams. Qualitative histological analyses of the mammary gland were also performed.

Nutrient Effect on Brain Function

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data are presented as means with their standard errors and analysed by two-way ANOVA. When F values were significantly different (P < 0•05), the Tukey post-test was applied to evaluate the difference between groups CON-NS, CON-VD, MSG-NS, MSG-VD. The statistical analyses were conducted using Prism for Macintosh, version 5.0 (GraphPad Software).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
