Rat elisa kits

Manufactured by Novus Biologicals
Sourced in United States

Rat ELISA kits are quantitative immunoassay kits designed to detect and measure specific analytes in rat samples. These kits utilize the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to provide accurate and sensitive quantification of target proteins or molecules.

Oxidative Stress and Liver Fibrosis Assessment

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To determine the oxidized glutathione (GSSH), the frozen rat livers (~30 mg) were homogenized (1:10 w:v ratio) in the extraction buffer (supplied with the kit) and determined calorimetrically (Abbkine, Inc, Wuhan, China, Cat#: KTB1610). For the lipid peroxidation marker 4-Hydroxy-2-Nonenal (4-HNE), the frozen livers (~30 mg) were homogenized (1:20 w/v ratio) using a RIPA buffer containing SDS and determined using a rat ELISA kit (Abcam, Cambridge, UK, Cat#ab238538). For the classic liver fibrosis marker type-I collagen (COL-1), the frozen livers (~30 mg) were homogenized (1:9 w/v ratio) using PBS (0.01 M, pH = 7.4) and measured using specific rat ELISA kits (Novus Biologicals, Centennial, CO, USA, Cat# NBP2-75823). All procedures were performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Hepatic Cytokine and Protein Quantification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Liver tissue homogenate (10%) was prepared in 0.05 M phosphate buffer (pH = 7) using a polytron homogenizer at 4 °C. The homogenate was centrifuged at 10,000 × g for 20 min for removing any cell debris. The supernatant was used after that for the determination of hepatic interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and TGF-β1 levels using rat ELISA Kits (catalog # SEA563Ra, SEA079Ra, and SEA124Ra, respectively, Cloud-Clone Corp, USA). Hepatic contents of OCN and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were determined using rat ELISA Kits (catalog # NBP2-68153, Novus Biologicals, and catalog # 438206, BioLegend Company, USA, respectively) following the manufacturer’s instructions (Wang et al. 2020 (link)) and (Guo et al. 2018 ).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
