Bio plex series 100 instrument

Manufactured by Bio-Rad
Sourced in United States

The Bio-Plex series 100 instrument is a multiplex assay system designed for the detection and quantification of multiple analytes in a single sample. The instrument utilizes fluorescently labeled beads and advanced optics to enable simultaneous analysis of up to 100 different target molecules.

Assessing Plasma Metabolic Markers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood samples were collected by tail incision using a restraining device. FFA plasma content was analyzed using a Wako NEFA-C kit (Wako NEFA-HR2) as described in manufacturer manual. Glycerol and triglycerides in plasma were analyzed using free glycerol reagent (F6428, Sigma, Germany). Insulin plasma content was measured using suspension bead array immunoassay kits following manufacturer's specifications (Bio-Plex Pro Mouse Diabetes Assay, Biorad, USA) on a Bio-Plex series 100 instrument (Biorad, USA).

Comprehensive Cytokine and Hormone Profiling in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood was collected through cardiac puncture. Mouse leptin, tumour necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-10 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 were measured using the Bio-Plex Pro Mouse Diabetes 8-Plex and Bio-Plex Pro Mouse Cytokine 23-plex immunoassay kits, on a Bio-Plex series 100 instrument (Biorad, Hercules, CA, U.S.A.). Serum insulin (Mercodia, Uppsala, Sweden), lipocalcin-2 (R&D Systems, Minneapolis, MN, U.S.A.), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1, R&D Systems) and osteocalcin (Takara Bio, Mountain View, CA, U.S.A.) were assessed using commercially-available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assays. Serum corticosterone levels were analysed by stable isotope dilution liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) as described previously [25 (link)].

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
