Measuring NF-kB Activation in THP1 Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
THP1-Blue™ NF-kB cells (InvivoGen, San Diego, CA, USA) were grown in RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% (v/v) FBS, 2 mM L-glutamine, 100 U/ml penicillin, 100 μg/ml streptomycin, 25 mM HEPES, 100 μg/ml Normocin™, 10 μg/ml Blasticidin. THP1-Blue™ NF-kB cells were treated with TNFα or infected with Pru∆ku80 WT or Δteegr strains and then followed by determination of NF-kB activity using a reporter gene assay. QUANTI-Blue™ (InvivoGen) was added to cells, plates were incubated for a further 2 h and the optical density at 655 nm was recorded. Graphs show results from averaged technical replicates and at least three independent experiments.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
