Progesterone eia kit

Manufactured by ALPCO
Sourced in United States

The Progesterone EIA kit is a laboratory equipment product that can be used to measure progesterone levels in various sample types, such as serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The kit utilizes an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (EIA) technique to quantify the concentration of progesterone.

Prenatal-Postpartum Hormonal Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Participant blood was collected at each visit in four 10 ml EDTA tubes and were immediately centrifuged at 4◦C for 30 min. The serum was then aliquoted into 2 ml microcentrifuge tubes, snap frozen on dry ice, and immediately stored in a −80◦C freezer. The blood samples we chose for analysis were from women from the Johns Hopkins Prospective cohort who had data for at least one antepartum blood draw and one postpartum visit with psychological data (N = 31). Participants whose blood was chosen for analysis did not differ by demographic characteristic or psychiatric diagnosis from those whose blood was not chosen. Blood was analyzed with the following kits: Allopregnanolone EIA kit from Arbor Assays LLC (Ann Arbor, MI, USA) Cat 3 KC44-H1, Progesterone EIA kit from Alpco (Salem, NH, USA) catalogue # PROHU-E01, Estradiol Alpco Elisa kit catalogue number 11ESPHU-E 1. All sample runs passed quality control by generating low coefficient of variance percentages (CV%) among replicate control samples. Data values represent the average of two technical replicates per individual.

Plasma Allopregnanolone and Progesterone Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Participant blood was collected at each visit in four 10ml EDTA tubes. Blood samples were non-fasting, and collection times were arranged at the convenience of the participant. All occurred during the working day (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). Samples were immediately centrifuged at 4 degrees C for 30 minutes. The plasma was then aliquotted in 2 ml microcentrifuge tubes, snap frozen on dry ice, and immediately stored in a −80° freezer. Blood was analyzed with the allopregnanolone EIA kit from Arbor Assays LLC Cat 3 KC44-H1 and progesterone EIA kit from Alpco catalogue # PROHU-E01. All samples were run in duplicate and the coefficient of variation (CV) among samples was <10%.

Progesterone Quantification in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For estimating serum progesterone concentration, blood was collected from female mice after each injection (16, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h after PMSG/hCG treatment). Serum was separated from blood and stored at − 20 °C until it was assayed for progesterone. Progesterone concentration was assessed using a progesterone EIA kit (ALPCO, Windham, NH, USA) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
