Rabbit anti fmrp

Manufactured by Merck Group

Rabbit anti-FMRP is a primary antibody used in laboratory research applications. It is designed to detect the Fragile X Mental Retardation Protein (FMRP), which is a RNA-binding protein involved in neuronal development and function. This antibody can be utilized in various immunological techniques, such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry, to study the expression and localization of FMRP in biological samples.

Western Blot Analysis of Protein Extracts

Standard methodologies were used. Protein extracts were separated by SDS–PAGE electrophoresis, and transferred to a PVDF membrane (GE Healthcare). Membranes were incubated using specific antibodies including mouse anti-puromycin PMY-2A4 (1:500 DSHB), mouse anti-GAPDH (1:2000, Thermo Fisher), mouse anti-Vinculin (1:2000, Sigma) and rabbit anti-FMRP (1:1000) (73 (link)).
Secondary HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit, anti-mouse antibodies (1:10 000) were purchased from Promega or Chemicon. Proteins were revealed using an enhanced chemiluminescence kit (Bio-Rad) and the imaging system LAS-4000 mini (GE). Quantification was performed using the IQ ImageQuant TL software (GE Healthcare). Coomassie staining of the membranes, GAPDH and Vinculin signals were used as normalizers.

For studying mTOR and p70S6K1 phosphorylation, substrate sampler kit (CST, 9862T) was used and the antibody dilutions were made for WB according to kit suggestions.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
