MMA was purified using neutral alumina column to remove the inhibitor. The solvents were dried and purified by standard laboratory methods. All other chemicals were used without any further purification unless otherwise stated.

Dichloromethane was obtained from Tianjin Guangfu Fine Chemical Company, Ltd. (Tianjin, China). Commercial sustainedrelease capsules were produced by Ethypharm Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd. (Shanghai, China) and deionized water was used in all experiments.
