Blood was collected via cardiac puncture after confirming mouse death and centrifuged at 6000xg 10 min at 4°C. Serum analysis used commercial kits according to the manufacturer’s instructions: serum albumin (Alb), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) (Randox laboratories), Alanine transaminase (ALT), total bilirubin and Amylase (Alpha Laboratories).
