Blocbuilder ma

Manufactured by Arkema

BlocBuilder-MA is a specialized lab equipment product developed by Arkema. It serves as a catalyst for the polymerization process. The core function of BlocBuilder-MA is to facilitate the controlled growth of polymer chains during the synthesis of polymeric materials. This product provides a reliable and consistent means of managing the polymerization reactions in a laboratory setting.

Preparation and Characterization of Mix-MA Monomer Benchmark

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The blend “Mix-MA”, used as
a benchmark monomer, has been prepared with 33.3 wt % of (hydroxypropyl)methacrylate,
33.3 wt % of 1,4-butanediol dimethacrylate, and 33.3 wt % of a urethane
dimethacrylate monomer, obtained from Sigma Aldrich and represented
in Scheme 2. Mix-MA
was already used in previous works.3 (link),4 (link) More particularly,
its viscosity is well adapted for the preparation of formulations.
In addition, interestingly, Mix-MA is not too viscous. Therefore,
oxygen inhibition occurs, and only good-performance systems can polymerize
it. BlocBuilder-MA was obtained from Arkema. tert-Butylbenzene was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich.

Preparation of Styrene-Acrylate Nanocomposite

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Styrene (97%, Acros Organics) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (98%, Sigma-Aldrich) were purchased and purified by passing through basic aluminium oxide before usage as a monomer. BlocBuilder MA (Nitroxide initiator, Arkema) was supplied and used as received. All solvents including toluene, methanol, acetone, and chloroform used were in analytical grade. The MWCNTs (498% carbon basis, Sigma-Aldrich, O.D.  L 6-13 nm  2.5-20 mm) were used as a dispersion in chloroform. Before use, the conductive nanotubes were vigorously dispersed in an ultrasonic bath for 4 h.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
