Peli1 sirna

Manufactured by Santa Cruz Biotechnology

Peli1 siRNA is a laboratory tool designed to temporarily suppress the expression of the Peli1 gene in cells. It is a synthetic double-stranded RNA molecule that can be introduced into cells to induce RNA interference, a process that inhibits the translation of the Peli1 mRNA and reduces the production of the corresponding protein. The core function of Peli1 siRNA is to provide researchers with a means to study the biological role of the Peli1 gene in various cellular processes.

ZIKV Infection in Peli1-Silenced Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were transfected with 37.5 pM control siRNA or Peli1 siRNA (Santa Cruz Biotechnology) per manufacturer’s instructions. Transfected cells were grown in RPMI medium containing 10% FBS. qPCR was used to confirm the efficiency of Peli1 siRNA knockdown. At 24 h post transfection, cells were infected with ZIKV. Supernatants and cells were harvested at 96 h pi to measure viral load and cytokine production.

Peli1 Knockdown Impairs Angiogenesis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Control small interfering RNA (C.siRNA; Cat# SC‐37007) and siRNA targeted against Peli1 (Peli1.siRNA; Cat# SC‐44401) were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc (Dallas, TX). The HUVECs were treated with either C.siRNA or Peli1.siRNA (60 nmol/L) for 48 hours and then treated with VEGF. Matrigel with reduced serum (Cat# 354230, Corning Incorporated, Corning, NY) was dissolved at 4°C overnight, after which a μ‐Slide plate (ibidi USA, Inc, Madison, WI) was prepared with 10 μL Matrigel in each well and incubated at 37°C for 30 minutes. After incubation of the plates, 50 μL of treated cells (1.5×105 cells/mL) were seeded onto the gel. Tube formation was assessed after 8 hours of seeding using an Olympus QColor 3TM digital camera mounted on an Olympus BH2 microscope. Each well was photographed at ×200 magnification.11

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
