Pasteur glass pipettes

Manufactured by Avantor

Pasteur glass pipettes are a type of laboratory equipment used for the precise transfer and measurement of small volumes of liquids. They feature a thin, elongated glass tube with a narrow tip, designed to allow for the controlled aspiration and dispensing of fluids.

Deionized water (DIW) purified by a Milli-Q 50 system (TKA, Germany) was employed in all experiments. Acetone, sodium hydroxide (NaOH), potassium phosphate dibasic (K 2 HPO 4 ), sodium chloride (NaCl), sulfuric acid ( 97% H 2 SO 4 ), D(+)-sucrose, ethanol, and aniline ( 99% C 6 H 5 NH 2 ) were bought from Merck. The nitrogen and oxygen gas 6.0 purity bottles were provided by Messer. The multimode optical fiber of 400 μm diameter was purchased from Thorlabs. The Pasteur glass pipettes, the double wall glass, and the magnetic stir plate were supplied by VWR.

Aniline Polymerization and Characterization

All the reagents used in this work were of analytical grade (99.99% purity, unless otherwise specified). Ultra-clean deionized water (DIW), purified by a TKA Milli-Q 50 system, was consistently used throughout the experiments. Acetone, sulfuric acid (97% H2SO4), D( +)-sucrose, ethanol and aniline (99% C6H5NH2) were supplied by Merk. The nitrogen and oxygen 5.0 purity gas bottles were acquired from Messer. The TEQS multimode FO of 400 μm diameter was provided by Thorlabs. The additional tools used in the aniline polymerization protocol, such as the Pasteur glass pipettes (2 mL capacity, 230 mm length), the double-wall glass (diameter 55 mm, capacity 150 mL, height 85 mm) and the magnetic stir plate were obtained from VWR. The TC120 heated circulating bath was purchased from Grant Instruments.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
