Mir 18a mimic

Manufactured by OriGene
Sourced in United States, China

The MiR-18a mimic is a synthetic double-stranded RNA molecule designed to mimic the function of the endogenous microRNA miR-18a. MicroRNAs are small, non-coding RNA molecules that play a role in the regulation of gene expression. The MiR-18a mimic can be used in laboratory research settings to study the biological functions of miR-18a.

Transfection Protocol for miR-18a Mimic and KLF4 Plasmid

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The miR-18a mimic, inhibitor, and negative control miRNA were purchased from RiboBio (Guangzhou China) and transfected into cells at 100 nM concentrations via Lipofectamine 2000 (Invitrogen) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. KLF4 plasmid (1ug; Origene, Rockville, MD, USA) was also transfected into cells in the presence or absence of the miR-18a mimic by Lipofectamine 2000. After transfection twice in 48 h, cells were used in the subsequent experiments. RT-PCR and Western blotting were used to evaluate the transfection efficacy.

Oligonucleotide Transfection with Lipofectamine

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Lipofectamine 2000 (Invitrogen) was used for oligonucleotide transfection in this study per the manufacturer’s recommendations. The miR-18a mimic, miR-18a inhibitor, and negative control (NC) miRNA were designed and synthesized by RiboBio (Guangzhou, P.R. China). IRF2 or CBX7 expression constructs (1 μg; OriGene, Beijing, P.R. China) were transfected into cells with or without miR-18a mimic. After transfection for 48 h, the cells were collected and analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and Western blot to evaluate the transfection efficacy.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
