Immortalized mouse brain endothelial cells (bEnd.3 cells) were purchased from American Type Culture Collection (Manassas, VA). The 24-well transwell inserts were purchased from Corning (Tewksbury, MA). Antibodies against MMP9 were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Santa Cruz, CA). Antibodies against claudin-5 were purchased from Invitrogen (Grand Island, NY). Antibodies against albumin used for immunocytochemistry were purchased from Genetex (Irvine, CA).
