Gene Expression Analysis via qRT-PCR

RNA was extracted from cells and mouse hearts with Trizol reagent according to the manufacturer’s instructions (#15596, Life Technologies). cDNA was generated from RNA using a PrimeScript RT Master Mix Real-time RT-PCR Kit (#RR036A, Takara). Gene expression was analyzed via quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) with a KAPA SYBR FAST qPCR Kit (#KP-KK4601, Kapa Biosystems). The reactions were first incubated at 95°C for 10 min, followed by 40 cycles at 95°C for 10 s, 60°C for 30 s.
