Nmri foxn1nu foxn1nu female mice

Manufactured by Janvier Labs
Sourced in France

NMRI-Foxn1nu/Foxn1nu female mice are a genetically modified mouse strain. They have a deficiency in the Foxn1 gene, which is involved in the development of the thymus. This results in a lack of mature T cells, making these mice immunodeficient.

This study was conducted in compliance with the National Charter on the ethics of animal experimentation. Our experiments were approved by the “Comité National Institutionnel d'Éthique pour l’Animal de Laboratoire (CIEPAL)” (reference: NCE/2017–383). 106 Daoy cells or 0.5 × 106 HD-MB03 cells were injected, in medium containing 50% Corning® matrigel® matrix (VWR), subcutaneously, into the flank of 6-week-old NMRI-Foxn1nu/Foxn1nu female mice (Janvier Labs, Le Genest-Saint-Isle, France). Tumor volume was measured every other day with a caliper and calculated as follows: V=π/6×L×l2 where L = tumor length; l = tumor width (in a 2D space, tangential to the mouse skin).
The experiment was stopped when the tumors of one experimental group reached a volume of 1000 mm3.

Xenograft Tumor Growth in Nude Mice

The study was carried out in strict accordance with the recommendations of the United Kingdom Coordinating Committee on Cancer Prevention Research’s Guidelines for the Welfare of Animals in Experimental Neoplasia. Our experiments were approved by the ‘Comité National Institutionnel d'Éthique Pour l'Animal de Laboratoire’ (CIEPAL, reference: NCE/2013-97). One million non-irradiated, P or X irradiated CAL33 cells (CR-MI group) were injected subcutaneously into the flank of 6-week-old NMRI-Foxn1nu/Foxn1nu female mice (Janvier Labs, Le Genest-Saint-Isle, France, n=10/group). The tumor volume (v=L × l2 × 0.52) was determined following measurement with a caliper. When the tumors reached 1 cm3, the mice were killed and the tumors collected.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
