C peptide kit

Manufactured by Roche
Sourced in Germany

The C-peptide kit is a laboratory diagnostic tool used to measure the levels of C-peptide, a byproduct of insulin production, in a patient's blood sample. C-peptide measurements can provide insights into insulin secretion and help in the evaluation of pancreatic beta-cell function.

Determining C-Peptide Levels in Hair and Serum

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The hair and serum samples were analyzed using the C-peptide kit from Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Germany and through electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLISA) technology, the COBAS E411 analyzer (Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation). The detection limit of the C-peptide kit was: 0.003–13.3 nmol/L (0.010–40.0 ng/mL) and PreciControl Multimarker used as a control. The C-peptide level results measured in ng/mL were converted to mcg/dl and were then calculated to measure the C-peptide level in terms of picogram per milligram of hair sample. HbA1c and FPG were analyzed by using Absorbance Photometry assay by COBAS C111 HITACHI.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Urea and glucose concentrations were measured by kinetic colorimetric assays using the UREAL (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 05171873 190) and GLUC3 kit (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 05168791 190). Cholesterol, TRIGLycerides and lipoprotein concentrations were measured via enzymatic color assays using the CHOL2 (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 05168538 190), TRIGL (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 05171407 190), HDLC4 kit (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 07528582 190) and LDLC3 kit (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 07005768 190). These analyses were performed on a Cobas 8000/c702 system (Roche Diagnostics) according to the instructions of the manufacturer. Cortisol, Insulin and c-peptide concentrations were measured via electrochemiluminescence immunoassays (ECLIA) using the Cortisol II (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 07027150 190), Insulin (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 07027559 190) and C-Peptide kit (Roche Diagnostics, Cat.# 07027168 190) on a Cobas 8000/e801 system (Roche Diagnostics) according to the instructions of the manufacturer.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
