Freund’s complete adjuvant (FCA) was purchased from Sigma Aldrich Chemie Gmbh (St. Louis, MA, USA). All the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits (IL-1β, IL-6, PGE2, and TNF-α) were purchased from Shanghai Mlbio Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Rutin was obtained from Guizhou Dida Technology Co., Ltd. (Guiyang, China); the purity of these reagents was higher than 98% as determined by HPLC. Rheumatoid bone pain capsules (Batch No. 180304) were purchased from Sinopharm Group Jingfang (Anhui) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (Xuancheng, China). Acetonitrile and methanol of HPLC grade were obtained from Tedia Co., Inc. (Fairfield, OH, USA). Ultrapure water was used for all solutions and dilutions (ultrapure water was prepared by the subject TM-D24UV ultrapure water machine). Other chemicals and solvents were of analytical or HPLC grade.

TET (purity > 99.2%) was obtained from Conba Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou, China). Buspirone hydrochloride (purity > 99%, internal standard), 17β-estradiol-17β-D-glucuronide, rifampicin, lipopolysaccharide, and substrates and metabolites of CYP were bought from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). DMSO (purity > 99.7%) was purchased from Innochem (Beijing, China). The HPLC-grade acetonitrile (ACN) and Pierce BCA protein assay kit were purchased from Thermo Fisher Scientific (Waltham, MA, USA). The HPLC-grade formic acid was bought from J&K Scientific (Beijing, China). Monensin was bought from TCI Shanghai (Shanghai, China). Tariquidar (TAR) was purchased from Shanghai Yuanye Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Atenolol and digoxin were purchased from Selleck Chemicals (Houston, TX, USA) and metoprolol was purchased from Macklin (Shanghai, China). The RM-003 liquid atomizer was purchased from Raymain Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). IL-6 and TNF-α ELISA kits were purchased from Mlbio (Shanghai, China).

Liver and kidney function tests of all participants were performed in Workers’ Hospital of the Jinchuan Nonferrous Metals Corporation in Jinchang city. The levels of total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, total bile acid, cholinesterase, urea acid, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine were detected using the BS2000M automatic biochemical analyzer (Mindray, China). The levels of MDA, CAT, ROS, and total SOD were measured using commercial kits (Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute, Nanjing, China). The levels of IL-10, IL-4, IL-1β, and IL-6 (mlbio, ShangHai, China) were measured via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
