The rat intestinal epithelial cell line IEC6 was kindly provided by Mathias Hornef (Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany)21 (link). All cell lines were maintained at 37°C and in a 5% CO2 humidified atmosphere. Recombinant murine and human IFN-λ2 and IL-22 were purchased from Peprotech and used at the concentrations indicated. Cytokines were diluted in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS).
