Foetal bovine serum (fbs)
Foetal bovine serum is a cell culture supplement derived from the blood of bovine fetuses. Its core function is to provide a rich source of growth factors, nutrients, and other essential components required for the optimal growth and proliferation of cells in in vitro cell culture systems.
2 protocols using foetal bovine serum (fbs)
Culturing Ovarian Cell Lines IOSE80, SKOV3, and A2780
Culturing Rat Cardiomyocyte Cell Line H9c2
H9c2 cells were cultured in DMEM (Gibco, USA) containing 10% foetal bovine serum (Zhejiang Tianhang Biotechnology, China), 100 U/mL penicillin and 100 g/mL streptomycin. The cells were cultured in a CO2 constant-temperature incubator with a 5% volume fraction at 37 °C.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
