Annexin 5 fitc pi propidium iodide apoptosis detection kit

Manufactured by BD
Sourced in United States

The Annexin V-FITC/PI (propidium iodide) apoptosis detection kit is a laboratory tool used to detect and analyze apoptosis, a form of programmed cell death, in cell samples. The kit contains Annexin V conjugated with the fluorescent dye FITC and the DNA-binding dye propidium iodide, which are used to stain and identify cells undergoing different stages of apoptosis.

Quantifying Apoptosis in Glioma Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After treatments with transfected AHNAK-expressing vector, an annexin V-FITC/PI (propidium iodide) apoptosis detection kit (BD PharMingen) was used to label the harvested U87/U251 glioma cells according to the instruction of manufacture. A BD FACSCalibur (USA) flow cytometer was used to quantify the apoptotic and necrotic cells. The cells of early apoptotic (Annexin V-positive and PI-negative) or late apoptotic (Annexin V-positive and PI-positive) phases were included in cell death determinations.

Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cell apoptosis was assessed using an Annexin V-FITC/PI (propidium iodide) apoptosis detection kit (BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA, USA). Cells were collected and rushed with PBS for once time and were resuspended with binding buffer. Then, the cells were incubated with Annexin V-FITC and PI solution for 15 min at room temperature. Cell apoptosis was detected using a flow cytometer FACSCalibur system (BD Biosciences) and analyzed using FlowJo 7.6 software.

Thymol-Induced Apoptosis in Cancer Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
HCT116 and Lovo cells were plated in 6-well plates at a density of 5 × 105 cells/well. After 24 h of incubation, cells were exposed to different concentrations of thymol (0, 20, or 40 µg/mL) for 48 h, collected, and stained using an Annexin V-FITC/PI (propidium iodide) apoptosis detection kit (BD Biosciences, Mountain View, CA, USA) for 15 min at 37°C in the dark. The number of apoptotic and necrotic cells was then evaluated using flow cytometry (BD Biosciences).

Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Detection

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After treatments with nano-micelles, an annexin V-FITC/PI (propidium iodide) apoptosis detection kit (BD PharMingen) was used to label the harvested C6 glioma cells according to the instruction of manufacture. A BD FACSCalibur (USA) flow cytometer was used to quantified the apoptotic and necrotic cells. The cells of early apoptotic (Annexin V-positive and PI-negative) or late apoptotic (Annexin V-positive and PI-positive) phases were included in cell death determinations.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
