Fungicide Sensitivity Assay for Grape Diseases

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Fungicides used in the study were selected among the main groups of single-site inhibitors registered for use in Greek vineyards against foliar or bunch diseases. The commercial formulations of fludioxonil (Geoxe 50 WG, Syngenta, Basel, Switzerland), fluxapyroxad (Sercadis 30 SC, BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany), fluopyram (Luna Privilege 50 SC, Bayer CropScience, Leverkusen, Germany), boscalid (Cantus 50 WG, BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany), pyraclostrobin (Insignia 20 WG, BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany), isofetamid (Kenja 40 SC, Agrology Papaoikonomou, Thessaloniki, Greece), penthiopyrad (Fontelis 20 SC, Corteva AgriScience, Indianapolis, IN, USA), and tebuconazole (Folicur 25 WG, Bayer CropScience, Leverkusen, Germany) were used in the sensitivity assays.

Fungicide Sensitivity of Alternaria and Kabatiella

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The intrinsic activity of SDHI molecules against A. alternata and K. variispora was determined in 15 and 10 isolates of A. alternata and K. variispora, respectively. The isolates had been collected during the 2017 survey, and had not been exposed to the selection pressure of SDHIs. SDHI molecules selected for the study were boscalid (Cantus 50 WG, BASF Hellas, Marousi, Greece), fluopyram (Luna Privilege 50 SC, Bayer CropScience Hellas, Athens, Greece), fluxapyroxad (Sercadis 30 SC, BASF Hellas), penthiopyrad (Fontelis 20 SC, Elanco Hellas, Chalandri, Greece), and adepidyn (A19649H 20 SC, experimental formulation kindly provided to us by Syngenta Hellas, Anthoussa, Greece). The assessment of isolates' sensitivity to these active ingredients was based on the inhibition of mycelial growth at different fungicide concentrations (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, and 10 μg ml -1 ) based on a protocol developed by Avenot et al. (2008) for A. alternata isolates from pistachio. The EC 50 value for each isolate was calculated by plotting the relative inhibition of mycelial growth against the Log 10 fungicide concentrations in three independent measurements. Calculations were performed using the program JMP (SAS Institute, Cary, NC).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
