Protein and Histone Extraction for Western Blotting

Total proteins were extracted using the MPER^® reagent (Thermo-scientific, Erembodegem-Aalst, Belgium) supplemented by 1× protease inhibitor cocktail (Complete EDTA-free, Roche, Prophac, Luxembourg, Luxembourg) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Histones were extracted as previously described [52 (link)]. Western blots were carried out as previously reported [53 (link)].
