The intra-assay coefficient of variation ranges from 6.9% to 7.4%, and the inter-assay coefficient of variation ranges from 6.5% to 9.6%. Plasma levels of IL-10 were quantified using a customized multiplex assay (Luminex Assay, R&D Systems) with a lower limit of detection 0.07 pg/mL. The intra-assay coefficient of variation ranges from 3.8% to 7.3%, and the inter-assay coefficient of variation ranges from 5.1% to 12.5%. For the determination of standard laboratory markers, including high-sensitive C-reactive protein (CRP; C.V., 2.7%²⁷ (link)), blood was analyzed in the central laboratory of the General Hospital of Vienna.
