Images were analyzed using Living Image Software v4.2 for MacOSX (Perkin Elmer) and dorsal and ventral radiance was summed. Termination criteria included moribundity or hind limb paralysis. In all cases animal treatment strictly adhered to McMaster Animal Research Ethics Board instructions and guidelines.
