All the chemicals used in this work were of analytical reagent grade. Millipore water having a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ cm obtained from Merck Millipore water unit was used for the preparation of all the aqueous solutions employed for electrochemical studies. Sodium chloride (Merck), lactic acid (Merck) and urea (Fischer Scientific) were used for the preparation of sweat bio-mimic compositions. Similarly, methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate (Avra), sodiumcarboxymethyl cellulose (Sigma Aldrich), potassium chloride (Alfa Aesar), magnesium chloride (Merck), calcium chloride (Fischer Scientific), dipotassium hydrogen phosphate (Merck) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate (Hi-Media) were utilized for the preparation of saliva bio-mimic solutions. Electrochemical studies were carried out using potassium ferricyanide, K3[Fe(CN)6] (Fischer Scientific) and potassium ferrocyanide, K4[Fe(CN)6] (Hi-Media) as the redox probe. Finally Triton X-100 (Sisco Research Laboratories) was used to prepare the hexagonal lyotropic liquid crystalline medium. All these chemicals were used as received without any further purification.

Quantitative Analysis of Baicalein

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-grade methanol and formic acid were obtained from Merck KGaA. Deionized water was prepared via Milli-Q water purification (EMD Millipore). Baicalein reference standards (cat. no. 18031608) were purchased from the Beijing Aoke Biological Technology Corporation, and stock solutions were prepared in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and stored at 4°C. Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (internal standard; purity >98% by HPLC-UV) was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (Merck KGaA).

All reagents used in this study were of analytical grade and commercially available. Agar, brewer's yeast, L-ascorbic acid, and neomycin sulfate were purchased from Fisher Scientific (Thermo-Fisher Scientific, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA); acetone, ethanol, formaldehyde, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, 1-octacosanol were from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, Missouri, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
