Synthesis and Characterization of Metal-Organic Frameworks

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cu3(BTC)2 was purchased from Sigma Aldrich with the commercial trade name Basolite C300. Similarly, other related MOFs like Al(OH)(BDC) (BDC: 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate) and ZIF-8 with the trade names Basolite A100 and Basolite Z1200, respectively were also purchased from Sigma Aldrich, Barcelona, Spain. MIL-101(Cr) was synthesized by adopting earlier procedure, and its structural integrity was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), which was in good agreement with an earlier report [41 (link)]. Furthermore, CuCl, Cu(NO3)2.3H2O, Cs2CO3, K2CO3, Na2CO3, B2pin2, 2-cyclohexenone and acetonitrile were procured from Sigma Aldrich, Barcelona, Spain.

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All chemicals were used as received
from reliable commercial sources.
Basolite Z1200 (ZIF-8 material) and 2-methylimidazole (HmIm) were
purchased from Sigma-Aldrich Co. Cobalt(II) nitrate hexahydrate [Co(NO3)2·6H2O] and methanol 96% were
purchased from Fisher Scientific, and ethanol (technical grade) was
purchased from Scharlab S.L.
For the synthesis of bimetallic
ZIF (Zn0.6Co0.4) frameworks, 2-methylimidazole
(HmIm), zinc nitrate hexahydrate
[Zn(NO3)2·6H2O] and cobalt(II)
nitrate hexahydrate [Co(NO3)2·6H2O] were procured from Sigma-Aldrich. Analytical grade methanol was
procured from J T Baker India.

Basolite® C300 (CuBTC), Basolite® Z1200 (ZIF-8), polyacrylonitrile (PAN, average Mw = 150,000), N,N-Dimethyl formamide (DMF), and (Z)-1-(p-Dimethylaminoethoxyphenyl)-1,2-diphenyl-1-butene (Tamoxifen citrate, TAM) were purchased from Sigma-Adrich (Saint Louis, MI, USA). (Z)-2-(p-(1,2-Diphenyl-1-butenyl)phenoxy)-N-methyl ethylamine (N-desmethyl tamoxifen, NDTAM), (E/Z)-4-[1-[4-[2-(Methylamino)ethoxy]phenyl]-2-phenyl-1-buten-1-yl]-phenol hydrochloride hydrate (1:1 E/Z mixture) Endoxifen, ENDO), (Z)-4-(1-[4-(Dimethylaminoethoxy)phenyl]-2-phenyl-1-butenyl)phenol (4-Hydroxytamoxifen, 4OHT), and 4-[1-[4-[2-(Methylamino)ethoxy]phenyl]-2-phenyl-1-butenyl-d5]phenol (E/Z Endoxifen-d5) were purchased from United States Biological (Salem, MA, USA). 2-[4-[(1Z)-1,2-diphenyl-1-buten-1-yl-3,3,4,4,4-d5]phenoxy]-N,N-dimethyl-ethanolamine (Tamoxifen-d5) and 4-[1-[4-[2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy]phenyl]-2-phenyl-1-buten-1-yl-3,3,4,4,4-d5]-phenol (4-Hydroxytamoxifen-d5) were obtained from Cayman Chemical Company (Ann Arbor, MI, USA). As this research does not involve clinical trials, the biological samples were altruistically donated following our Institutional Research and Ethics Board recommendations.

All chemicals and reagents were
of analytical grade and used as delivered without further purification.
These chemicals include Basolite Z1200 [2-methylimidazole zinc salt
(ZIF-8), Sigma-Aldrich], cobalt (II) chloride hexahydrate [CoCl2·6H2O, 97–102% assay (by complexometry),
Loba Chemie], zinc nitrate hexahydrate [Zn(NO3)2·6H2O, ≥96.0% assay, Merck], polyvinylpyrrolidone
(PVP) [(C6H9NO)n, Sigma-Aldrich], and 2-methylimidazole [Hmim, 99% assay, Sigma-Aldrich].
Acetone [(CH3)2CO, ≥ 99%], methanol [CH3OH, 99.7%], and distilled water were obtained from Merck.
Highly pure certified He, N2, CO2, and H2 gases used for the adsorption measurements were purchased
from Inox air product Ltd., India.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
